Scope: Lighting the Shadows

When I saw the water feature on this property I knew exactly what I wanted to do with it. Sun flares are a favorite to mine and I like to work them in when possible. The challenge was that the vegetation put the water feature in a deep shadow at dawn. Our solution was to arrive well before dawn to set our studio lights up to light the water feature. We used our battery packs and adjusted the light output to match what the sun would be shining on the patio furniture. The result is this beautiful photograph which really shows off the beauty of the water feature.
